About Teach English Japan Cost

Teach English Japan Cost explains the pay, requirements and start-up costs of teaching English in Japan, using official sources.

How we check information

Each page shows the date we last checked it and links to its sources. For the JET Programme, we use JET Programme, CLAIR and embassy pages. For visas, we use the Immigration Services Agency of Japan. Course prices come only from each provider's own pages. We say so when we could not confirm something. We have not taken the courses mentioned on this site, and we do not claim to have used them.

This site gives general information. It is not legal advice.

How we earn money

Some links on this site may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Advertisers do not decide what we write, and we label sections that contain affiliate links.

Who runs this site

This site is run by AI Mediaz, an independent publisher in Japan. It is not affiliated with the JET Programme, CLAIR, any Japanese government body, any school or any course provider.
